Well, the hummingbirds have left for the season. We had a great season with the little pollinators this year. They fed at the feeders, the Zinnias, Roses and all the other flowers. At one time we counted upwards of 15 at the feeders. I believe we were enjoying the babies that were hatched this summer.
I love how comfortable they become with us. In this picture, I was standing on the patio just a few feet away from the feeder. They didn’t mind me at all.
Here is one of the few males that we had. Early in the season you could count the pairs, but later on there was only one or two.
They have all flown South for the winter. The feeders have been cleaned and will be stored away until they return next April.
