It’s been a very rainy weekend here in MO and it has only been in the 40’s. Brrrr! Needless to say, I have stayed indoors!
This was at 4:00 Saturday afternoon. I dumped a 1/2 out of it Friday evening. I haven’t been back out there to check it today.
This has given me time to get a craft project completed that I have been wanting to do. We have some old wooden fencing that I have been using for craft projects here and there over the years and I’ve had another project in mind for it. This weekend’s project is signs for my gardens. I thought it would be fun to have each one labeled.
I had some red paint left over from when I painted our bedroom a few years ago and some misc brushes that I’ve accumulated. So, this project cost me nothing!
This one is for my garden that is growing lettuce, spinach, carrots, onions, cauliflower, broccoli, peppers and cucumbers. This is the smaller garden area that we’ve been using for several years. I have dubbed it my salad garden.
You can see where I was trying out different brushes.
This one is for the large garden that we just put in. It has (or will have) corn, beans, potatoes, zucchini and tomatoes.
And this one is for the strawberry patch.
They’re not perfect, but I didn’t want them to be. I think the imperfections make them even better. If I wanted perfect little signs, I would have bought them from a store. Nope, these are homemade with scraps and leftovers.
Now, when it stops raining, we’ll hang ’em up. :O)
Hope you’re having a great weekend!
