I woke up this morning just before the sun broke the horizon. I started the morning chores in the house. You know, laundry and unloading the dishwasher from the night before. I got busy and almost missed this beautiful sunrise in the fog.
I grabbed my camera and went for a walk. It’s so peaceful out here. It was just me and the animals that were waking up.
As I made my way up the hill to the goats, I could hear the birds chirping and the cows a pasture over calling for breakfast.
My little buddy, Ranger, came to see what I was doing. He hasn’t been feeling well the past week. It was nice to seem him getting back to normal.
I made my way around the goat pen and over to the garden. The garden is winding down, just as summer is. We’re down to tomatoes and peppers for the most part. The pumpkins are still going as well.
As I walk past the garden and out to the pond, I find myself becoming one with the fog…becoming consumed by it.
It’s just all around me.
The pond was looking very serene this morning, not a ripple to be found as the frogs and turtles must be sleeping.
As I make my way back to the house, I notice I’m being watched. The goats watched were waiting to see what I was up to. They never made a sound.
I just love these early morning walks.
I hope you’ve had a wonderful day and took some time to take in the beauty of your surroundings.
