Migration time

This past weekend our pastures became alive with all sorts of butterflies and moths.  We’re guessing it’s time for them to migrate south.  I have never witnessed such a sight!

We had Monarchs, Painted Ladies, Swallowtails, and Lemon Emigrants.

This is the Painted Lady.

I tried to get a video of them, but it doesn’t do it justice.  As we would walk along the pasture, it would come alive.  It was as if the leaves of the clover would take flight.  There were hundreds of them all around!

Please do take the time to stop and enjoy the beauty around you.  There’s more to life than work.

I have seen several black with blue coloring butterflies in the last month. I can’t remember the last time I saw a monarch. I always try to plant flowers especially for them.
